For room parents

The class parent app that does the tedious part for you

The school cannot hand out the class contact list. So one parent rebuilds it every September, by hand, and everyone else retypes it. This is the parent version of that list, and it fills itself in.

  • Invite-only
  • End-to-end encrypted
  • Works on any phone
  • Ad-free
Group Space on a phone, set up for a room parent

Sound familiar

The same four things, every season.

  • 01

Twenty-two families, and every single parent is separately typing in the same twenty-two names and numbers.

  • 02

The class party plan lived in a Facebook group that a third of the families are not in.

  • 03

Someone took lovely photos at the field trip. They are still on their phone in October.

  • 04

Your question about the Friday pickup is buried under forty replies about who is bringing napkins.

How it lands

What each part does for a room parent.

  • Directory

The class list builds itself as families join, and each parent decides what they share. Save a family to your phone in one tap when you finally need to text about the carpool.

  • Events

The party, the field trip, the classroom volunteer slots. RSVPs in one tap, and a real count so you know how much to buy.

  • Photos

One album per event that any parent can add to. Everyone downloads at full quality, on whatever phone they have, without asking anyone to re-send.

  • Discussion

A thread per topic, so the carpool question and the snack sign-up stop competing in the same group text.

  • Chip In

The teacher gift, collected without twelve people asking twelve different ways for a Venmo handle.

The fair question

Is this a school app? Do teachers have to use it?

No. Group Space is run by parents, for parents, and it does not need anything from the school or the district. A teacher can be invited like anyone else if the group wants that, but nobody has to adopt anything. It is the parent-side coordination that was already happening in a group text, just organized.

Set it up once. Everyone else just joins.

The organizer pays for the group. Every family they invite is free, on whatever phone they carry.

Also for sports teams, troops and packs.
